A few examples of Blowers and air knives applications: drying bottles and cans after water baths / washing / cooling / rinsing; removing debris and liquid from conveyor belts; drying crates and packing containers; removing moisture and oil from parts; removing excess ingredients or coatings from products; drying wire and cable prior to packaging or printing; and removing excess oil or moisture from sheet metal prior to processing.

The following needs to be considered when designing a blower system: the target composition and speed of movement; the distance from the air knife or nozzle to the target; and the distance between the blower and the air knives.

Advantages over Compressed Air:
1. Cleaner (no danger of oil in lines)
2. More effective and efficient in most applications
3. Costs much less to operate than use of compressed air
