General Centrifugal Blower Characteristics Learn how ceramic bearings improve your blower's performance
Centrifugal blowers generate greater flow, at generally higher pressures, than regenerative blowers. These blowers consist of an impeller / bearing assembly, motor, pulley and belt, and a frame to mount the components. The same blower impeller / bearing can be combined with different motors and pulleys to produce the correct air flow / pressure combination for the application. Republic centrifugal blowers are serviceable in the field. All parts are replaceable and can be ordered. Frames and impeller units are also available to use with existing motors. Blower specifications are given for the safe range of operation. Unlike regenerative blowers, centrifugal blowers need to have the correct air restriction (resulting in back pressure) or risk destroying the bearing assembly and / or the motor. Range of operation for centrifugal blowers are: Flow: 0 to 2600 cfm
