Thermocouple Parts and

Thermocouple and Extension Wire - comes in two standard grades -
thermocouple grade and extension grade (also a special limits tolerance
available which has less variation than the thermocouple grade). For a
given type, thermocouple grade has less variance at the junction point than does
extension grade. Since thermocouple grade is used to make the actual
thermocouple, the choice of insulation and protection is broader.
Extension grade tends to be for long runs outside of the process - where
mechanical protection and heat resistance are less important. (Thermocouple

Thermocouple Jacks and Plugs - come in two basic sizes - standard and
mini. These plugs and jacks are compensated to prevent generating
additional voltage. Plugs and jacks should match the type of thermocouple
and wire being used.
Jacks come in different configurations: individually, in panel mounts (both
plastic and metal) and in multi-jack arrangements.
Bayonet Fittings - are used to provide a permanent mounting for quick
removal of thermocouples. Threads can be English or Metric, and are
straight or tapered. For industrial applications 1/8th NPT is the most
common thread in the US. Standard English and Metric fittings are
available.
Compression Fittings - are commonly used when installing a thermocouple that
has a tube containing the sensor. The compression fitting allows the
thermocouple to be held in a fixed position. Compression fittings are
available in either brass or stainless steel, and come in different thread and
opening configurations.
Thermowells - allow thermocouples or RTDs to be changed without
opening the vessel (applications where vessels are under pressure or cannot be
drained) . Standard, flanged, and Sanitary thermowells are available in
different alloys and dimensions. The thermowell needed depends on the application.
Air Heater Accessories
Nozzles for Air Heaters - Heated air needs to be properly applied for
best results. We keep several styles of nozzles
and flairs in stock. Applications for hot air are numerous - flares and
nozzles can be made to your specifications.
Blowers - for high flow / low pressure hot air applications.
Regenerative and Variable Flow blowers are available in different pressure and
flow combinations. The nature of the application and size and style of the
heater will determine the blower specifications.
Infrared Heater Accessories
Infrared Reflectors - for standard ceramic infrared heaters. Made to order
reflectors for multiple sets of reflectors. Replacement reflectors for
URAD or RAD fixtures are also available.
Infrared Heater Housings - extruded housings for ceramic heaters and URAD and
RAD style heaters.
